Linda Ann (Hopkins) Wolf was born in Detroit, Michigan, and spent her early childhood enjoying the natural beauty of the forests, the native wildlife, and area surrounding Lake Michigan. Her parents moved the family to Southern California in the mid 1950s. She became intent on studying art while attending Glendora High School, and during her senior year she studied Color Theory and Design for two semesters on Saturdays at Chiounard Art Institute in Los Angeles.
