Greeting Cards

We all get a bit bummed when we retrieve our mail only to find the same old, same old...Junk mail and bills. We get to the point that we dread the walk to the mailbox because we are certain there is not going to be anything in there that makes us smile.

Unless...

You have kind, thoughtful friends who take the time to think of you by sending you a greeting card.

Yes, greeting cards are still in existence. They are not considered vintage or prehistoric. By sending a card via snail mail you are making an extra effort to show some one that you care enough instead of just sending a quick text or email.

You are taking the time to:

1. Select a card for the occasion.
2. Inscribe your message inside the card.
3. Address the card and use correct postage, which requires you taking the time to purchase postage.
4. Place the card in the mail slot and allow the mail carrier to tend to the delivery.

These practices take effort and for those of you who still take the time to make these efforts...I applaud you!

I have sent cards and letters since the day I could write and knew how to send mail. I will continue to do so because I know how it feels to receive a pleasant surprise in my mailbox instead of the same old, same old.
