Bette Midler, Caesars Palace to release:

“The Showgirl Must Go On”

Exclusive Limited Edition Hand Signed Giclee Prints

Jim Costello, President of Ojai Fine Art Printers, Valley of the Moon Giclees, www.vomarts.com, has teamed up with the award winning Los Angeles based graphic designer, restaurateur, and Renaissance man: Rod Dyer, www.roddyerinternational.com to conceive, print, and publish two Original Tru-Giclee Fine Art Prints in an edition of 500 pieces, plus 10 artists proofs, signed by The Diva, Bette Midler, and marketed exclusively through Bette’s Caesars Palace store which opened outside the Caesars Coliseum February 15, in Las Vegas.

The Hand Signed Limited Edition Giclee’s release coincides with Bette’s two year engagement at Caesars beginning February 20, 2008. The two Giclees are: 1. “A Friendship Collage” created by Rod from found items that were given to Bette; 2. The second Giclee Print is a fabulously brilliant graphic design & ad campaign, created by Rod Dyers using an exquisite, sensational and dramatic photo of Bette which was photographed by award winner Greg Gorman, enhancing Bette's photo is zesty “Pop Art” title treatment designed by equally awarded Michael Dorett.

The Hand Signed Limited Edition Giclees were printed on Somerset 330 GSN 100% Archival Cotton Paper and ink, with Iris and Ixia printers, by Valley of the Moon Fine Art Publishers, located in Ojai, California. Jim Costello and Rod Dyer have had an extensive and highly successful history collaborating together in the Fine Art World.

Rod drew on his over 20 year friendship and working relationship with Bette Midler while creating the collage and working on the print campaign, never intending the collage to be anything but a gift for Bette. Yet, after Bette saw the stunning piece, the collage was selected by Bette to be reproduced in a Exclusive Hand Signed Limited Edition Giclee and sold at her Caesars Palace store.

Rod is the man behind hundreds of award winning movie posters, record albums, corporate & restaurant logo designs, clothing, collectable pens and jewelry. Rod holds court at his ever-popular entertainment industry hangout, Pane e Vino Trattoria, www.panevinola.com, in Los Angeles every day while still maintaining his high end full time design business.
