Dinghy at Sunset

This was in the Sea of Abaco, just off the northeastern most island of the Bahamas, Abaco. As you can see, it was a beautiful evening with a near calm sea, and just a small shower over the island in the distance.

I did enhance this image, especially to bring out the orange - there wasn't quite that much originally, but orange and blue are very complimentary colors. Of course, I sharpened it, cropped it a little and straightened it - my sea legs must have been crooked, that evening. With digital images I almost always do a little noise reduction, too, and since this was shot with an older (2002) Canon D30, it needed more than images from the newer cameras do.

Every time I look at this image, I get "home sick" for sailing - it's been way too long!

I adore boats and this is an excellent photo. Good shot and editing :)
