Dr. Kyra Belan at the Visual Arts Center, Punta Gorda FL

Dr. Kyra Belan is currently exhibiting her American Beauty series of paintings at the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Artist and author, Dr. Kyra Belan is exhibiting her acrylic paintings at the Visual Arts Center in Punta Gorda from December 28 2012 through January 24th 2013. The exhibition is called Four Artists in the Goff gallery; other artists are Debra Purdy, Ralph LaGro, and Thalia St. Lewis.

The image features six of the eight paintings by Kyra Belan currently in the exhibition.

Dr. Kyra Belan has completed 12 paintings of the American Beauty Series in 2012, and is currently working on more. The recently completed works are shown for the first time at the VAC, and will be exhibited at other venues, together with additional new works, during 2013 and 2014.

Belan works with acrylic and oil paints on canvas, and her theme is about the beauty of Nature, and the connections between the sanctity of nature and the feminine as symbols of mother earth.
