Finding My Niche

In the few months that I've been a member at FAA, I have met so many talented and inspiring artists among the groups I've joined, that I continue to be very enthusiastic and constantly inspired. Although creating my own art is a rather new venture for me, I am not new to the art world. In previous years, I worked in a local gallery where I got to continually admire a large variety of artwork and exhibitions. I now realize that this experience inadvertently helped me to acquire my own personal taste for certain styles of art.

Moving forward, I feel like I am constantly growing, learning, and slowly finding my own niche. I work diligently with my camera trying to capture quality images, and then I lose myself on the computer exploring the multitude of ways that these images can be transformed into artwork. Sometimes, the digital processing can be tedious, but more often it is exciting. Before I post an image here on FAA, I ask myself, "is this something that would enhance my home decor?" If the answer is no, it doesn't get posted. This one final step has helped me a lot on my path to finding my niche and I am very pleasantly pleased with the artwork I have created so far.
