Glass and Luminumbra 9841 was submitted to "Single Light Source" hosted by the group Photo 101. I love how the contest is so focused. In addition to the focused structure, each artists can submit only one image. This keeps it from being flooded and forces the artist to really work on deciding which peice to submit.

Luminumbra project contains hundreds of images, but only a few of them have been uploaded here to date. Also, only a few of them contain the object used to form the luminumbra or only a single light source. Since the contest is being juried by the group owner, I am interested to see the results, it is a different, more curated approach as opposed to the general public ones which are like a quick poll.

It is interesting to see what has been submitted, so many different approaches. So far, my favorites are "Attic Stairs - Fiesole St. Francis Monastary" by Nicola Fiscarelli and "Fergie" by Paul Fell.

(Update - The Photo 101 contest was curated and judged by Gregory Scott, who made insightful comments on all the works in the final submission group - said it was a tight contest and the cards falling a different way would have ended with other winners just as deserving, but I ended up with a second place!!! yeah!) (Special thanks to all those who took time to gaze at the artwork submitted and special thanks to the host and judge for creating and hosting these events as well as the commentary / critiques).

Yes, you have great vision my friend. I'm very glad to see that you are doing it with the camera and the light, for that is what it really is all about in photography.
