When I'm traveling into a National Park it blows me away how most people will not walk more then 500 feet from there cars, the problem with that everyone is at the same view point taking the same picture and what good is that? I found that putting on a day pack and hiking 3-5 miles get you away from everyone and you will discover places all these other people will never see! Not to mention the photography you can pull off will blow everyone else away, not to mention you will have great storys to tell to your friends when you get home. Here is a shot I took while hiking deep into Bryce Canyon National Park, talk about a hike that really paid off.
