Kennebec River and the Seasons in Maine

The featured painting in this blog entry is of the tidal marsh area in front of our small house in Maine. The Kennebec River flows towards the sea and we can see it from our sun room. I love to watch the early morning sun rise or the fog and clouds, as the case may be. During the summer we can watch a nesting pair of Osprey (sea eagles) as they raise 2 chicks on a large nest of branches and sticks. Many wild ducks and geese stop by the marsh to rest and feed during the day. We have woodchucks living in the garden on the river bank - there is always something interesting to watch no matter the season or the weather. This painting was done during the summer when the marsh grasses are green and the summer rain clouds build.
