(Early January 2013) Some groups are come one, come all - if you think the image fits, you can join and submit anything you like. I've added images / joined a few groups recently, including Digital Photography, Macro All Types and Loving the Color Green. It seems like groups abound for all sorts of focuses from colors to artistic mediums to geographic regions to subject matter - with opportunities to hear comments and discussion by artists based around these themes. I especially had fun adding four images to a group called Feathers. Some groups are curated. I was inspired by the caliber of work and the concepts espoused in one of the curated groups called Minimalism in Photography. I submitted a very poetic and almost surreal gray image called Snow in Dead Pod. Two other images I was not sure fit were sent to keep it company and did not get through. The concept of focusing on minimalism is someting I've experimented with on occasion in other mediums, but not really in photography and it has inspired me to keep eyes open.
