New Energy

Wow! Have been scheduling so many women for photo shoots and am really getting super energy from it. I think it helps that I know these women and that they trust me to use good photos of themselves. I love doing it, too, taking their photos. And so far, even people who really don’t like their photos taken seem to be enjoying it.The nice thing is that unlike if I were just using the photos, I can alter the background, costume and decide on the materials I use to create each unique piece of art. I have now photographed seven women and I feel totally energized and stoked about the project. My friend Deb, whom I photod today, remarked on how anything can be fodder for art, and yes, I suppose artists see things that way. A leaf, a flower, a pattern in the paving stones, anything is available for use in a piece of art. Plus anything else that you can possibly imagine, or barely can.It’s that open mind and inquisitiveness that I hope I keep until I no longer draw breath. At any rate, must dash off and get some more ink for my printer so I can print the photos off. Have been running off the good ones and sketching them on Skytrain and blocking in ideas about composition, jotting notes, etc. That way I use some of my commute time in a creative way.
