My photograph won the first place in a photography contest Yesterday with the photo called LEAVING.
The contest was in the Fine Art America website and more than 1600 photographs were in the contest. It was open to the public to vote and it is a really good feeling to see your photograph win a contest judged by the public.
But the really good news is that I didn't win only the first place but also the second and the third position. I didn't know the second position photograph could get so well voted in a contest. This is one of my photograph I like the best but I hard get feed backs from it so I didn't expected people like it. It is called “Lonesome Tree”.
And finally, the third position was for one of my most recent images. I used to photograph flowers and plans long time ago on black and white because the colour annoyed, but eventually I realised I didn't like them so I stopped photographing flowers. A couple of weeks ago I tried again to photograph plants but now in colour and with medium format film negative. I got many good and interesting images and “Forlorn Hope” is one of them. It got the third position:
I don’t usually participate in contests because I know it is usually hard to win. I never expected to win this contest and, especially the 3 first positions.
