Plein air painting in Northern California

Mostly plein air, the "Queen's Lace" piece has 3 layers, 3 visits, as it's larger than most, at 15x30. A place that's near my home in Sonoma County, during a week of the conditions I adore, overcast fog, late afternoon, September dry grasses, those blue-violet fogs become more colorful off those yellow-orange (DRY) grasses.

What I LOVE about plein air, abstracting the landscape, leads to exciting pieces with movement, energy, and a sense of place.
