I spent some time today just thinking of potential subject matter for new pieces. In the past, I'll admit this has been one of my biggest challenges. Well, along with being too tight and striving for too much realism.
In my more recent paintings I have been focused on:
-Being representational, not realistic.
-Showing more brush strokes and being more loose.
-Picking more interesting or meaningful subject matter.
One of my recent paintings, "Family", is a step in the right direction for my development.
