I finally decided it is WAY too much trouble to keep up the website I built years ago from scratch, and I could never seem to get around to learning how to make a shopping cart for it. Doing art shows cost more than they brought in. And the work it took to do the framing - that quickly got old! Then there was the chore of hauling the framed pieces to and from shows. Sooo, I have done zip for the last few years. Then one of my FaceBook buddies, recommended Fine Art America and 500px. 500px sells the artist's digital files for $2.99 and the artist gets $2. Seems to me that is a good way to have a lot of copies of our files floating around out there, thereby devaluing our photography, Nope! Not going for that. I spent a few days looking at Fine Art America and opened an account, and getting frustrated at every turn, but, finally things starting clicking and falling into place. I upgraded to the premium account, so I could have my own website in addition to the one one their site. Having the two sites linked together is so wonderful. Now I am ready to go through the thousands of digital photos I have. The ones not good enough to go on the site are going to be purged into oblivion. It is so past time to purge these files. Hope you enjoy the slide show. More photos will be forthcoming as time moves along.
