Marching to the same beat
As if those ivory towers
Are all that really matter
Trying to get ahead
Their lives half dead
Just full steam ahead
Until their time ends
Never stop an smell the flowers
Wasted years, months, days an hours
Building thier deillusional towers
All for some sort of
"I'll live forever" magical power
"I'm too busy"
"I have to go"
"I don't have time"
They all sing it in rythem
Never understanding the crime
Trading time for a quick dime
Life's quality fades in line
They tumble over the edge
Never seeing what lies ahead
You can't go back an mend
Lack of quality time you spend
Logically, Your already dead.
Never stepped out of your own head
To see what matters the most in the end
Its the quality time you spend
With your family and friends
Nobody else remembers
Or cares except them.
The rest are too busy
building ivory towers
Climbing Jacobs Latter
For things that don't matter
Wasting heart for silver platters
Logically, wasting quality hours
All for their own funeral flowers
