Contest Rules

Author and screenwriter Nora Ephron died today. You may know her from When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle or Julie and Julia. She had a number of books, as well, one of my favorites being Crazy Salad.

Ephron told Wellesley's Class of 1996 in a commencement speech:
'Whatever you choose, however many roads you travel, I hope that you choose not to be a lady. I hope you will find some way to break the rules and make a little trouble out there. And I also hope that you will choose to make some of that trouble on behalf of women.'

This contest is to compose a dedication piece that in some way reflects Ephron's work, or her style and philosophy in general. If you don't know her work, just Google, or look for quotations ascribed to her. Or do an piece based upon one of her book titles: (go to Amazon.com and enter 'Nora Ephron').

Submit up to 10, any media (including sculpture, mixed media, photo art, painting, whatever), R-nudity allowed, MUST relate in some way to Nora Ephron. If you need to explain HOW it relates, then please put a posting with your artwork in the discussions section, also.

Contest is open-voting. I don'r particularly think vote solicitation is fair, since it makes popularity a factor, but let's face it, if does mean more people see our work. Selling art is more important than winning a little contest.
