How I Can Know The Name Of Those Who Voted My Pics

Posted by: Juan Carlos Ferro Duque on 05/24/2013 - 6:35 AM

Many friends tell me they voted my photo, but I DON'T see the meter running. The number does not go up and they insist claim to have voted. What happens?

I had the same thing happen to me from a few people. I voted for them and then they do not return the vote. I have since only voted on a few at a time and wait to see if they reciprocate .

I think that I was not enough clear. My question is "How to know the names of the persons who gave us their votes". I am requesting from FAA to give us the names not only the numbers. I demand reciprocity, we give them the names of our friends, so they should give us the names of voters

Good luck with that Juan. Like Marcia, I have voted a few times and not seen a return vote. Now I just do a few at a time and keep a written list of all who explicitly tell me they've voted.

Right Greg, but how do you know who voted? I mean how do you know that "vote #101 belongs to John Smith"? for example

I wish that were possible Juan. But I doubt that information will be made available to us. So I think we're left, more or less, with an honor system. When I do vote for someone and they say they have reciprocated, I do provide the vote number that I cast.

I have sometimes found that out, so am waiting until I have them confirm before voting for others so I don't run out in the process. just not sure why some votes didn't count and in one case the recipient responded that I was soliciting and not voting back... have been trying to right things with him.....

Why be so narcissistic about it?

You offer votes, and you ask for votes....I try to vote for everyone, but let us be honest, not every image deserves a vote.

I post three of my images that have won awards, and have sold very well on FAA, I ask people to vote for them. If they do outstanding! If they do not,...I cannot get pissed off and cry about it. The people I have asked for votes, post their own images. If I like their images, I am going to vote for them. But I cannot be expected to vote for an image simply because the owner of that image voted for one of mine. If I do that then someone else who has an image that deserved to have a vote might not get one, once I have run out of votes.

I am happy for the votes I am getting,....and you should be too.

Dear Wayne and dear all,

As I see you don't read my question, so I'll repeat it (for shure my English is not so good, next time will write in Spanish): Once again:

My question was "How to know the names of the persons who gave us their votes". I am requesting from FAA to give us the names not only the numbers (the quantity of votes). I demand reciprocity, if we have supplied to FAA the names of our friends, the least they can do is to give us the names of voters

As I've said: I demand reciprocity from FAA not the voters. I donīt care if I give my vote to someone who dislike my photo. I'm just pointing FAA to organize better their system and to give us more information

Why should you be provided with the names of people who voted for your image? If they wanted you to know who they were, they would go to the image page and leave you a note. You are not told the name of the people who buy your work, so why should you be told who voted for it?

FAA obviously does not want their visitors spammed or harassed by other FAA members.
