The industry has no time to sift and hunt through thousands of artists really, so a small band of creators do have a chance to become the \'go to\' artists. If you sell clipart collections, cd\'s,create tutorials, license art, vectorize, cleanup, create logos etc, you will find your store an interesting place to be. You must be able to produce licensed, and rf art. The industry does not purchase highly prohibitive art, so you need to be considerate of prevailing factors at all times.
Decodynamix will eventually feature only 25-30 artists at a maximum,so if the decorative apparel markets are of interest to you as part of your career,or if you are considering alternate revenue streams as an art biz, this may be a cool contest to enter. The aim is to showcase 25-30 of the best operations as industry sources. Additional illustrators will only be considered in the event of category themes that may require attention.
Research says that many industry people find content in most places now as just the same old stuff. Many illustrators only operate via agents...so, if you were thinking of opportunities for 2013, you may find some here.
Each participant may submit 5 images.
1) Votes may be cast by any visitor to FineArtAmerica.com (members and non-members).
2) You may only vote once per image.
3) You may vote for a total of 5 different images... but again, only once for any given image.
