The 'Animal in Man’ removes this long cultivated separation between ourselves and animals. The series provokes - in order to inspire compassion for all living things, humans and animals alike.

Terms like ‘bitch’ and ‘pussy’ compound the degradation of women with that of animals. Hybrid creatures born of these “bad” words confront and undermine the misogynistic metaphors.

Highlighting the absurd horror of the fur trade, humans are adorned by those once hunted. Other works depict humans physically blended with their "spirit" animals, working to recall this connection amidst our man-made constructs in the unnatural environment we’ve created for ourselves.
