FIRST PLACE WINNING ARTWORK ON DISPLAY AT WINCHESTER MANSIONS IN CAPE TOWN DURING THE MONTH OF DECEMBER

“Best of Show” is the title for a solo exhibition of Dr. Michael’s Durst’s artwork which opens on the 5th of December at the “Grape, Gourmet and Gallery” evening at the Winchester Mansions Hotel located in Sea Point, Cape Town, South Africa. It opens on December 5th at 7:00 with a five course dinner, featuring wine from the Pierre Jourdan wine estate.

All of the works on display have won or been tied for First Place awards on Fine Art America, the largest online site for artists and photographers from all over the world. Over 130,000 artists have uploaded more than three and a half million images onto this site. Fine Art America sponsors contests, which asks for submissions from international artists, and then members of the public vote for their favourites.

Nineteen of Michael’s works will be on display during the month of December at the Winchester Mansions Hotel. The exhibition is curated by Jill Fearon, who also organises art exhibitions regularly at Kirstenbosch Garden.

The exhibition includes Durst’s impressionistic paintings of Cape Town as well as his innovative “Fractal Visions.”

This fractal artwork shows the balance between order and chaos and portrays a world in which mathematical perfection shows its beauty through mysterious depths and swirls of complex elegance.
