Exhibition THE TALK Kunst aan de Kade 34 Delft

Fourteen artists have been invited to exhibit an artwork during two months and will be challenged with the theme of THE TALK to determine which place the art occupies within art. Experts, international and national artists will start a discussion.

The opening will be held by Kees Vrijdag, Rotterdam Marketing Award 2013.
"The Talk" is about the autonomy of art on the one side and on the other hand, the need for the art world breaking the isolation and entering into a dialogue with society, to break the negative spiral around the arts. This autonomy linked up with a desire to artistic integrity in which artists and institutions precisely to find isolation.
* Arjo Klamer * argue that this isolation is no longer maintained. Culture needs a good story. Tell what the arts contribute to a full life and why creativity, imagination and poetry are indispensable. He advocates a different attitude and mentality in the arts sector, with the aim of discussing about the arts to stimulate more and more people to talk about it.
