GET READY for Keene’s very first Open Studio Tour!
“If I ever go looking for my heart’s desire again, I won’t look any further than my own backyard…”
Dorothy from The Wizard of OZ
What do the Wizard of Oz and Keene’s first artist open studio tour have in common? The notion that you don’t have to travel further than your own backyard to find something wonderful—like great art.
Yes, Keene’s first artist open studio tour, the Keene Art Tour (affectionately known as “KAT”) is almost here. Nineteen diverse artists in 13 locations invite you into their studios to see where—and how—they work.
Featuring established, nationally-exhibited artists (including those with work in the Boston Museum of Fine Art) and talented emerging artists, you’ll have an opportunity to visit workspaces where great artwork is produced every day. Fine art (painting, drawing, colored pencil, pen and ink) and fine craft (photography, pottery, furniture, fiber glass and jewelry) are all represented, with work in contemporary and traditional styles. All within the city limits of Keene.
Mark your calendars for Saturday and Sunday, November 3 & 4, 2012, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for this very special event. Pick up a map/brochure at Creative Encounters at 18 Main Street in Keene for this self-guided tour, or visit our website at www.KeeneArtTour.com for a printable map and upcoming articles on featured artists.
