Opening Exhibit Who Does She Thinks She Is

Carol Rashawnna Williams will have her painting Poverty Line on exhibit in the artshow Who Does She Thinks She Is October 4, 2012 at Tashiro Kaplan Arts Complex, Corridor Gallery

In the Last year or so there have been many attempts by conservative politicians to deny a womans right to chose and to deny access and funding for womens reproductive health care. To Quote Nobel Laureate Leymah Gbowee (the Liberian peace activist responsible for leading a woman's peace movement that brought an end to the second Liberian Civil War in 2003). 'Its time for women to stop being politely angry.'
And it is time for us to put our artist's voices to the anger and concern over these issues.
