Southern Appalachian Artists National Juried Show
The 2012 National Juried Show sponsored by the Southern Appalachian Artist Guild (The Guild) entries are in and the show has been selected by William Underwood Eiland, Director of the Georgia Museum of Art. Blue Ridge, GA is located in the beautiful north Georgia mountains. The show will run in the peak visitor months of October and November attracting interest from the surrounding metropolitan areas of Atlanta, Asheville, Chattanooga and Knoxville. Art works selected will be displayed in the Richard Low Evans Gallery of the Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association (The Art Center) during regular business hours. Dates for the 2012 Show are October 20-November 9, 2012.
5,000 in prize money will be awarded. Opening reception October 20, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm where awards will be presented.
Artists who are residents of the United States are eligible to participate in this juried exhibition of two-dimensional and three-dimensional artworks. The Southern Appalachian Artist Guild’s National Juried Show takes place in Blue Ridge, Georgia, in the historic Richard Low Evans Courtroom Gallery at The Blue Ridge Mountains Arts Association. The show coincides with the peak of autumn foliage in the Southern Appalachian Mountains of North Georgia.
The Art Center is open Tuesday-Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm
