Yu-Yu Ueda: Twinkle, twinkle, through the night
Yu-Yu Ueda was born in 1981, in Tokyo. When Yu-yu was little, she was one of the children who loved drawing and painting. For some health reasons, she unfortunately had stopped doing both at one point, but her free spiritedness from childhood did not let her stop expressing. She started painting again, and those past few years she has been presenting her work mainly outside of Japan. The title of this exhibition “stargaze” comes from the fact that the characters in her pieces are looking up stars. Yu-yu, the artist who knows the fun and the joy of art, celebrates the stars praising the preciousness of life through her paintings.
