Description
Dark-Eyed Junco sitting on a snow covered branch.
The Dark-eyed Junco is a medium-sized sparrow with a rounded head, a short, stout bill and a fairly long, conspicuous tail.
Dark-eyed Juncos are birds of the ground. They hop around the bases of trees and shrubs in forests or venture out onto lawns looking for fallen seeds. You'll often hear their high chip notes, given almost absent-mindedly while foraging, or intensifying as they take short, low flights through cover.

One of my goals is to help increase public awareness of the wonders of wildlife and our natural heritage through my images.
I am able to combine my love of wildlife, appreciation of the great outdoors and have a wonderful time in the process.
Photographing wildlife in their natural habitat provides an exciting glimpse into the fascinating world of nature and wildlife.
I hope you will enjoy your visit.
