Erik, "Waiting for the Miracle" takes us emotionally into the depths of darkness. I've seen some of the others in this series . . . gut wrenching! Voted and my selection for discussion today in the M O U S E Group. v

A strong and disturbing image - and fantastic art. Your description is chilling and I only wish it was fiction rather than fact, even though I'm well aware of horror stories just like this one.

Thank you :-)

Powerful work!

Erik, very intriguing concept of lightness and darkness you're playing with in this series. While adding a live person to the dark corridors of this setting breaks the rules of my group Archaeological Art Mortality and the Bones of Life, everything else about this image and the rest of this series would still be much more appropriate in AAMBL group than in my Show the Lights group where the focus is not singly the physical lightness but also the spiritual lightness as well. I'd love to feature these images in the AAMBL group to represent what appears to me as the light shining in the ruins of an old building as it perhaps is shining in the mind of this character musing in this desolate place but you haven't submitted any of them yet.

Thank you Andrea :-)

Wonderful photo! I like your work

Gjerdrum, Ak - Norway

Thank you so much Joan and Janet :-)

Vancouver, BC - Canada

I love your work. It's what I am striving to do in some of my 'creations' and there is nothing like an old asylum left standing. There's one in Scotland I would love to photograph, in Gartloch.

Fort Worth, TX - United States

This is beautiful!

Gjerdrum, Ak - Norway

Thank you again Don :-)

Luray, KS - United States

Wow Erik, this is just over the top powerful, and what a gut wrenching title! That old hospital has served you well, and you have most definitely served it well. You could take you photos, do some research on the place, and make a heck of a book out of it. These are just so very compelling.
