Johnny Cash (1932-2003) found inspiration in the Bible and was fond of meditating. He took time from his busy concertizing to play Marshall Curly Wilcox in the 1986 TV version of "Stagecoach," filmed at Old Tucson 15 years after this image was taken; also at Old Tucson.
His recordings and compositions have been used in well over 150 (and still counting)movies/TV shows/videos/commercials.
Cash's composition "Get Along Cindy" was the first choice for Dean Martin and Ricky Martin to sing in "Rio Bravo," but composer Dimitri Tiomkin (1894-1979) opted instead for "My Rifle, My Pony & Me."
