Description:

This is painting of the Roaring Fork River. I stopped there on the last day of September late in the day. The sun was starting to set and the shadows were getting long. As the sun sank these cottonwood trees lit up and started glowing. I took as many pictures as I could, then got out my pochade (paint kit) and quickly did a color study. I created this painting in my studio using my photographs, my color study and my memory.
The price includes a very nice gold leafed frame.
