Description:
This is a 13 x18 pastel drawing of our favorite past time, next to boiling crawfish. This is the (ART) of boiling blue crabs. We add crab boil, lemons, corn, potatoes, and of course salt.. We bring the water to a boil, THEN WE ADD CRABS, the magic ingredient. This is a pastel drawing and will be shipped in protective shipping container built by me. This drawing was completed from photos and sketches in my studio. The photos were taken by me.
There is available a artist proof on stretched canvas, hand emblished. There will be 1 artist proof and 10 limited editions on canvas 13x19 hand painted with six week shipping time. The prints will be printed on demand from local printer in New Orleans, La. Time depends on how busy the printer is and how long it takes oil paints to dry. The artist proof will sell for 600.00 and the Limited editions for S475.00. The original is available for $1200. The orginial will ship in eight days.I was raised in the bayou country of Lafourch Parish in Louisiana. Worked in the oil fields of Louisiana and the Gulf Coast for years. I enroled in art school while working off shore and studied the course on my days off. I then went to work in ship yards of South Louisiana where i became a marine construction fitter and did photgraphy on the side. I broke my back in 1979 and went into the trucking industry for fifteen years. I sharpened my eye for detail in the ship yards. I was always thrilled at launch time. Watching the ship meet the water. I then had stroke in 1999 and three bouts with cancer until present. I am disabled but cannot stand doing nothing. I took up my art and photography. It keeps me calm and I love the marshes and swamps that i paint. Please take the time to enjoy and i hope i can bring some of the beauty of Louisiana and the rest of the country through my brush to my canvas and then to your eyes.
