Description:

This is my studio painting of Pikes Peak as viewed from Rampart Range Reservoir. It was a June day just before noon. Thunderstorms often gather over the peak in the early afternoon in summer. I tried to capture the feeling of the thickening atmosphere as a thunderstorm forms over the peak.
