Description:

This is in the badlands of South Dakota, a remarkable place to visit. I painted there in 1992 on a road trip from CA to NJ for my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I prefer to drive and have made this trip several times, because it's the best way to see the country. You can't get to know a place by flying over it.
