I could look at this and study it all day. The use of color and the brushstrokes in Choir Girl make for one of the most outstanding pieces of art that grabs me to the core! You are a genius Yulonda.

A quiet riot - I love her composure - another great piece!

Georges Rouault move over! What a powerhouse of a painting. You never appear to hesitate or labor just attack and complete, very successfully.

That full on face is so difficult to do - you've done it beautifully. She's engaging to look upon. She draws you into her conversation. Great piece.

I'll THIRD those comments with the exception of the word PALETTE, which for some deep psychological reason I prefer not to use -- maybe since I don't use the real thing either, but paper or aluminium , sometimes china, plates, etc., or in the right mood with my style I often just spueeze the tube and squirt it on, a thechnique that Ive heard is favored mostly by male artists. I'll have to ask Kevin and Todd. Anyway, Yulonda this is a fabulously beautiful portrait, except for the title, again given my prejudices! The painting and she are absolutely contented, warm, well-adjusted to either gender, secure, kind, interesting, pretty, interested in many things and other people, would play the piano except for unfortunate right hand. I don't think choir girls have any of theose characteristics! Maybe I was made to go to the wrong church, and my art appreciation (both creating and watching) forever are f ouled and fowled up!

It is very rare that somebody comes up with a beautiful composition, and this one is the best of the best!
