Description
"Fishing in the Fog"
by Debra and Dave Vanderlaan
... A quiet morning
on the lake,
just after sunrise,
a drifting rowboat
carrying a fisherman
lost in thought
as the mists envelope him.
The old trestle spans the antique railroad track line, reflections in the calm cool water of the Valley River. Long branches of trees in early Spring greenery lean out over the stream, encircling the rural scene as the dawn fog drifts past. The river trail is just adjacent to the slow-moving stream, a pretty path through the forest in the Smoky Mountains. The Hiwassee River joins the Valley River just beyond the old metal trestle. This is Murphy North Carolina in the western edge of Cherokee County. The Blue Ridge mountains are alive with waterfalls, streams, trails, and nature. Please enjoy it all in our photography images!
