Description:

This flower is Greater Fringed Blue Gentian. It blooms late in autumn, and only grows in a seeping spring, where there is some sun, at fairly high altitude. It seeds are scattered by the wind. All this explains to some degree why the flower is so rare. Here, it is playing host to an inchworm with gourmet taste.
