Cool image. I wonder how many people disregard the filter to find the beauty. Or is the lesson that the filters we use often keep us from beauty...very cool Jack...

Dear Jack, I came here because of your comment under Wayne's marvelous painting on war. How intriguing your various and imaginative posts are! And your/theirwonderful message of love! I can't help wondering if you deliberately placed the so-called "safe-filters" covering this lovely, beautiful, and absorbing photo -- the gradation of light from left to right is so beautiful! The hideous things also cover 2 other beautiful and thought-provoking works nearby. I don't see any on your other 209 posts. So, I am just checking with you incase you do not intend to have them there. I did something like that yesterday on an abstract painting titled "LANDMINE." I am pleased that Wayne and Anneke Hut immediately got that message. I wrote this to them:

It is not printing! The last try. "Dear Wayne. My third comment under this marvelous painting! I want to tell you that I just posted the following comment in response to yours under my painting "LANDMINE" about my having put a "SAFE FILTER" on it. "'Dear Wayne and Anneke, You've about got it. I was working my way down the form for posting photos when I came to the "offensive to your mother and/or co-workers." It just hit me: "What could be more offensive, more obscene than the terrible brutal land mines that so often leave the people they don't kill dismembered and maimed." So it came into my weird mind to put a SAFE FILTER on this painting for a while at least. Search and you will find organizations and information about the most hideous fact that many places these brutal land mines have been installed and never removed after the armed conflict. Thus the land is made useless, and a danger to humans, especially children, and animals! And how can views showing the beauty of God-created male and female human bodies be considered something to hide from anybody? I guess that "LOVE" is just a four-letter word. And I've said enough. Peace, etc., Bruce Combs'"

Very poignant words Gary!! "Cool image. I wonder how many people disregard the filter to find the beauty. Or is the lesson that the filters we use often keep us from beauty..." I would add that I wonder how many filters we have to keep us from experiencing all of life! This image, Jack, is amazing....one could ponder on it for days. At first I thought it was a picture of the neurological pathways in our brain - but then I realized it could be a myriad of other things as well...it would be cool if everyone could submit what their first impression is :) Have a wonderful day and Thanks for stopping by! :D
