Description:

African Lions have actually thrive in Africa�s largest wildlife sanctuary: the beautiful Namib Desert adjoining the Skeleton Coast of Africa. I wanted to do a desert artwork, and learning of the the lions surviving here inspired this composition.The Namib Desert Skeleton Coast also harbors a village of Africa�s most primitive people; their village is depicted in the quilt. Within its harsh boundaries, this desert contains other wildlife, and precious stones such as diamonds and rubies.
