Description:

During the early part of WWII the US Submarine Force tried to hold the line against the advancing Japanese Navy. With pre-war tactics and unreliable weapons these boats went forth into the unknown. This painting, a Perch Class submarine, heads out into the southwest Pacific in search for targets.
