Description:

Artist James Cordasco has his studio on Long Beach Island, New Jersey, not very far from Barnegat Lighthouse. Barnegat Lighthouse, affectionately known as "Barney" or "Old Barney" is the quintessential symbol of the Jersey Shore. Cordasco has painted the lighthouse many times in different aspects of impressionism. The Lighthouse was built in 1858, is red and white and is 165 feet tall.
Today the Barnegat Light is the focal point of a beautiful New Jersey State Park that features jetties that are popular with fishermen. The top of the Lighthouse has a magnificent view of Island Beach State Park, Barnegat Bay, and Long Beach Island.
