This is an acrylic & acrylic ink & regular inks painting, made on Bristol paper, with some texture and smudge experimentation (NO digital manipulation!). It's inspired by a dream I had, by some pretty quirky sketches I made in a almost psychedelic mode (fortunatelly, no real drug involved...) I used a simple way of composing the image and "hanged" there a big chunk of cloud I wanted to make toxic...beautiful but toxic. I used to do that a very special ink color, called Parma, a pigment so powerful that I practically could not cover it even with repeated layers of Titan white.

Awesome landscape. Apocalyptic landscapes have long been my favorite subject. I often wonder are they a peak into the future and a look into the artists soul. This is my favorite! -- v/f and a su

Happy you like it, Bob. Yes, it's a fascinant subject for all art... Just seen The Road with Vigo Mortensen... In my opinion, it's both, an artists (not specifically myself) have, often, a vague sense, more or less prophetic power... Leonardo, Jules Verne, Philip K. Dick (why not?)...so many others..

Yes, Ion, you too have dreams. Thanks for posting this in our Dreams Visions Supernatural Art and Photography group. I'll be featuring it. I pray we are all born again before this happens so we can be safe and with the Lord. Love and Peace, in Christ, Windy Mountain

Thanks, Windy! still praying for Bill... nothing new?

I mean that someday a few generations from now they will look back and say Ion knew.

Oh, Sharon, who knows? You know what Lao Tzu said, supposedly : Those who know don't speak; those who speak do not know... But you and me and the collegues from FAA, we "speak" without words, with colors and forms...

And thank you again !

Very well done, Ion. Very surreal.

I've seen some scarey skies that are so odd as to look post apocalyptic. This is a wonderful expression of that Ion. There are several masters who have painted futuristically. Who knows, maybe someday?????

Yeah, Sharon, one day, who knows? I have this bad habit: I discover some good, interesting vein, niche, motherload...and I do not follow up... I let go and start searching for something else... But, who knows?...Thanks!
