Man eating breakfast at a shelter for Hurricane Katrina survivors in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, USA. Hurricane Katrina struck America's Gulf of Mexico coast as a category four hurricane on 29th August 2005. It claimed more than 1000 lives and became the costliest natural disaster in US history. This shelter was operated by the Plumbers and Pipefitters local union in Baton Rouge, and helped union members with food, clothing, shelter, and job referrals. Photographed on 19th September 2005.
