This painting reminded me of the isolated feeling I had trapped in a surreal world waiting for a liver transplant. Like "Shiny" the world went on around me and all I had was a warped perspective from my "bowl." This painting spoke to me when I saw it at the November show and I had to have the original. Now it hangs on my wall a monument to the most challenging time in my life and reminding me to be greatful for my new life and for the generous donor that made is possible.
