I think what I most enjoy about Tessera is her hair - the way it shades or shifts or fades from black, at the edges, into purple. I'm also intrigued by her face, and the title of the piece, and wondering what it means or connects with. Tessera - Greek for "four"? Any connection with A Wind in the Door, etc.?

Thanks Judith! It takes lots of patience. Allowing the water and paint to do what it wants, inspires me to move to each next passage. Plus I've had some phenomenal instructors and mentors and loads of practice. I love paying it forward too!

How beautiful! You have such control of the watercolor I can hardly believe it's a watercolor! I love it.
