Description
The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge is one of the coolest mega-structure in New York. It was opened in 1964. It was the longest suspension bridge then. The bridge stretched from the Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn to the Fort Wadsworth in Salen Island. It was named after a European Navigator Giovanni da Verrazzano. He is the first European navigator who arrived New York in 1524. The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge has 12 usable lanes, 6 of its lanes are located at the upper deck and the other 6 lanes are at the lower or the inner section of the bridge.
