Digital Art - Algorithmic Art
Yin and Yang are the two pieces of a diptych based on a fractal space-filling curve. Each curve was created by taking a triangle and breaking it into two triangles. Each of those is broken into two more, and so on. The centers of all of those triangles are connected with a curve and the inside of that curve colored black or white. This is repeated several times and all of those averaged together. The differences between the two images are how the triangles are dissected and how they are colored. They thus represent dark and light, soft and hard, and other complementary aspects of the duality.
