Description
One of the things we love best about posters of the 20s and 30s is their simplicity - the message is delivered in a straightforward but almost always charming manner (no subliminal advertising here!). This small poster for the company Stemm is no exception: two deliciously rosy-cheeks children, wearing comfortable clothes and lovely socks... the message is: buy these and your children can look like this too. Simple, but effective. Rendered in wonderful colors which are toned down but stylisticly consistent with the Art Deco period. Produced in France probably during the Art Deco period, this poster is professionally linen backed and measures 15.5 x 23.5 inches. It is signed by the well known and widely respected French artist J. Jacqueine.
