Description
(Copyright Mel Steinhauer all rights reserve ) Just outside the white walls of the Fishermans Church on the Mykonos Harbor waterfront, were a total of six benches. Three faced out towards the sea and three faced in towards the town. The deep color of the bench perfectly matched the window frame, door and dome of the church. Did the Fishermans wife sit on a bench facing the sea to pray and wait for his safe return during a storm ? And on the side of the church facing town, did his children laugh and play as their father prepared his catch to sell, while they sat on ... A Blue Bench ?

Hi Mel.I like the way you use blue in your photos. I still remember the blue door painting I wanted to paint when I first saw your work. About seasoning-yep! it is a good thing-in some ways-but does slow one down sometimes. At least when slowed down we see more, don't we? Good health to you with a spice of life attitude. Cheers! marlene
