Description
Electronic circuit printed onto skin. Close up photograph of an ultrathin mesh electronic circuit printed directly onto a person's skin. The circuit is protected by a layer of spray-on bandage. It can be stretched and deformed without adversely affecting performance. The skin's natural exfoliating process ensures the circuit falls off after around two weeks. Future applications could include spray-on sensors that monitor the body and wearable electronic gadgets. Built by the Rogers Research Group, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
