Description
Marble in acid demonstration. Three beakers containing marble in (from left to right) weak, medium and strong acid. Marble is a form of calcium carbonate rock. It reacts with acid to produce hydrogen, which can be seen as bubbles in the solution. The stronger the acid the fast and more vigorous the reaction. Therefore the beaker on the right fizzes the most with the others fizzing more gently.
